My journey with the IB began in 1995, when I started my IBDP student experience at Bonita Vista High School, the school where I currently coordinate the DP. I have been teaching higher level mathematics there since 2007 and coordinating the program since 2016. As a program coordinator, I’ve become acutely aware of how many different hats I wear throughout the days, months, and years. It’s hard to say which of those hats I enjoy the most, but I think I feel “most myself” when I’m solving problems and innovating. I love building excellent spreadsheets for organizing information and writing documents that help both others and myself to understand the IB better. I am excited to use the skills that teaching and coordinating in the IB have required me to develop to fulfill my responsibilities as CAWS Secretary.
