An Invitation to Attend Bonita Vista High's School TOK Summit, October 16, 2026

I know that as a DP Coordinator, it can be so easy to get stuck in our silos of our own schools and keeping things running. This year will be the fourth year that I’ve run the event, and each year it gets better! If you’ve been wanting to (or even just thinking about) connecting with other IB schools in your area, I’d encourage you to take a trip down to see us in this event for ideas about how you could do something similar in your area!

Our TOK Exhibition will be on Friday, October 16th. Our opening ceremony starts at 9:30am, and the exhibitions themselves will run from 10am-noon in three rounds. Seniors from Castle Park High, Granite Hills High, San Diego High, and Bonita Vista High will be stationed at exhibition tables while other seniors as well as anticipated Juniors will visit the exhibitions and take it all in.

The whole day wraps up by about 1:30pm, so from 1:45pm-2:15pm I’m planning a little debrief event where any visiting teachers or coordinators from outside schools can come together and talk to one another about what they saw, I can answer questions, and we can brainstorm ideas for what this might look like in your area!

If you’d like to come and join us (or even if you’re just thinking about it), please fill out this registration form so that I can have a name badge prepared for you! Please know that I’m open to you (as a coordinator) and/or your TOK teacher attending. Heck - you can bring along a few students to get their input if you’d like!! I’m flexible, and just wanting to see the IB Schools in Southern California grow! If you have any questions about the event, please also feel free to reach out and ask!

PS - I’ll also be at the CAWS Fall Forum on October 26 (which will be at the Orange County Department of Ed) as well. So if you’re planning to go to the Fall Forum, I hope to see you there! =)
